If you need advice on how to grow the perfect spaghetti tree, give us a call. APRIL FOOLS, from 1957. It’s an old one but one of our favourites. Check out the short BBC Documentary here:
Last month the lawn had its first cut. This month it is time to give it some love. Go outside, have a look. We want to make sure your lawn is working for you. We are looking for strong and thick blades, deep green with no weeds. Yes, weeds are inevitable, but they need to be kept in check to discourage growth and spreading. If your grass isn’t up to scratch, we can help with a couple of things.
- Repair and preserve your current grass. We will inspect your lawn and put together a plan to bring it back to life. A mixture of scarifying, seeding, and fertilising will help with restoration. Some areas can be patched.
- Brand new turf. With this choice you have two options: real or artificial. Real grass is great for a natural look but will require maintenance. Artificial lawns have come a long way, looking more natural but with the added benefit of low maintenance. The decision is yours; we can do either.
It’s better to lay a new lawn before the weather heats up too much. They need lots of water to establish themselves and the April showers can help with this, saving you watering endlessly over the summer. If you want to find out more about this service, click here. You could however, go for something a little more exciting. A wildflower lawn. Not only is it a beautiful focal point for the garden, but it is also fantastic for wildlife. Wildflowers support ecosystems providing seeds, pollen, and nectar for our pollinators. You can either sew wildflower seeds into your lawn or we can take up your existing lawn and lay wildflower turf for an instant result. Your summer would be filled with colour from: Bachelor Buttons, Coneflowers, Daisy’s and Geranium’s. A hive of activity of butterflies and bees. If you’re not brave enough to go full hog, then a simple nod to re-wilding could be a small boarder.
Whatever you decide to do to your lawn this month, be sure to relax after with a delicious plate of spaghetti.
